How to choose the right LED strips?

Location of Use

Length of LED strips

Our strips are 5 meters per roll, so you need to measure the length of strips needed for your installation location. Our strips can be cut, so don't worry about the strip being too long.

 Brightness

The brightness of LED strips is measured in lumens per meter, which is determined by the LED density per meter, the more LEDs, the brighter the brightness and the less spots that appear. But for COB LED lights, it is not that the more the number of LEDs, the higher the brightness, which mainly depends on the brightness of the LED lights. If you want spot-free lighting with wider angles of illumination, you can opt for COB LED strips. So when you buy our light strip, please pay attention to the parameters of the light strip. How to choose the power supply?

Voltage

Wattage

The wattage of the power supply determines how long strips of light you can supply. Therefore, you need to determine the wattage of the light strip you are using. The wattage of the light strip will be marked on our product page, in w/m or w/ft, and then multiply it by the length you want to use. Get the total wattage. The resulting total wattage is then divided by 0.8 to get the minimum power rating.
When we know the voltage and minimum wattage, we can choose the power supply we need.

The following is an example:
If we buy a 12V light strip, the power of the light strip is 16W/m,
Then power=16W/m*5m=80W
Power of the power supply=80W/0.8=100W
Therefore, we need to buy a 12V, 100W power supply.

How to Control LED strip?

If you buy a monochromatic light, then you don't need to buy a controller, you can control the light directly by controlling the power supply. But when you buy a light strip that can adjust the color temperature, I strongly urge you to buy a controller so that you can adjust the color temperature and light color you want according to your needs. We have a variety of controllers for you to choose from, infrared and radio frequency controllers are the most basic ones, they come with a remote control, you can adjust the light through the remote control. How to cut LED strips?

Step 1: Search for the scissors logo on light strip

Manufacturers have added a logo for scissors to the cuttable portion of their LED strip lights. You must locate the scissors logo before you cut to avoid any damage.

Step 2: Cut with a pair scissors

Use your scissors to trim the excess strip at the location marked with the scissors logo. Inadvertently cutting diagonally can cause the light to stop working. Make sure you do not cut in a straight line.

How to connect LED strip light?

Step 1:Buy the right connector

Step 4. Close the connector cover
